World Down Syndrome Day
Today, the Texas legislature will introduce a resolution in both the House of Representatives and the Senate honoring people with Down syndrome in the great state of Texas by proclaiming March 21 World Down Syndrome Day. This will be the first time in Texas History that people with Down syndrome have been officially honored by the state of Texas.
March 21, 2011 marks the 6th anniversary of World Down Syndrome Day and each year the voice of people with Down syndrome, and those who live and work with them, grows louder as we celebrate the abilities, talents and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome.
