DS Guild Annual Picnic

We are so lucky to live in an area that has a Down Syndrome Guild and Large community.  We are even MORE lucky to have so many family and friends that support the Guild so that we can have great family and friend events like the Annual picnic where we get to see so many like us!

This was our 2nd year to attend the picnic and boy has life changed in that 1 year.  Last year when we walked into the picnic we had no idea what to expect and life was still so new to us.  We only knew 3 or 4 families so the sea of faces were overwhelming!  This year when we walked in it felt like old hat.  We were comfortable right away and we soon came to realize HOW MANY families we now know.  I could not even begin to count and then in addition we were able to add some new friends.  What a blessed life we live!

 After lunch was eaten the boys headed out to find games to play.  They played mini golf, jumped in the bounce house and no telling what else outside, then they came in to play Musical chairs....this is when I found them! Tristan did pretty good in the game and had lots of helpers helping him find a seat, but he didn't quite get the concept of being "out" and would wander back in..:)

I must have caught Trinity at a bad time because she actually was enjoying the music and bouncing up and down to the beat.

Proof she was having a good time..:)  (Bonus - if you listen tot he DJ he keeps getting confused because a few of the kids keep wandering back in to musical chairs...OURS was one!)
