The Mommy is down...

The Mommy is down for a few weeks!

This past Sunday our subdivision had a fun day where they closed out a water park just for us.  It was a BLAST right up until 9:15pm!

We had a great time at the water park, Tristan and Papi went on all the rides and Trinity and I played in the pool and rode the lazy river.  We would meet back at the table for snacks and just to take a break and back out we would go.  About 9:10pm  Trinity started getting tired so she and I went back to the table and I started giving her a bottle.  The boys showed up just a minute later and I thought "Humm, Tristan and I should go out and do something together."  Washington took over with the bottle and off we went.  The only thing open at this time was the BIG tide pool, so we decided to do that.  As we were walking into the pool, holding hands,  down the slope to get a little deeper I stepped on something slippery...DOWN went The Mommy!  In addition, down went Tristan!  Since the "waves" had started I was holding onto him to make sure he didn't go under or float off so when I slipped, I pulled him with me.  I was too scared to let go for fear her would be swept back up the pool and I would not be able to reach him.  When we both came up for air I was able to get my bearings and realized I could not walk.  Holding his hand I used my other to push back to a more shallow area and then just sat there.  I told Tristan I could not walk and poor baby just kept saying "Try Mommy, try hard to walk"  Sitting there I noticed we had 45 or so more minutes until the park closed so this also meant I had 45 minutes until anyone would wonder where I was.  There was no way I could send a 3 year old off looking for his Papi so I decided if I could just get on a float I could relax a minute.  Tristan and I caught an empty float and I got in and lifted him in my lap.  We sat there maybe 2 minutes before he was telling me he was tired and ready to go home.  I don't know how I made it back to the table, but I did!  thankfully Super Papi took over and got both the kids and myself out to the car and home!

Last night and today I have my swollen ankle elevated and ice packs on it!

My helper, checking the bandage and ice to make sure all is good.  He will make a great Doctor someday!

Today was a painful day for The Mommy...
