Today my Angel turns 1 years old!
This morning I heard a disturbance in Trinity's room that I had not heard before. A lot of banging and grunting that could not have been coming from such a small little girl. When I got to her room and peaked in this is what I saw....
Still not sure what it was I flipped on the light and THIS is what I saw...
Tristan had somehow managed to climb up into his sisters bed and was rubbing her cheek. They were having a nice conversation, about what I don't know, but it seemed important.
After digging both kids out of the crib we went to get breakfast ready...this is my pretty girl waiting patiently for Mommy to HURRY UP and bring her her milk!
After a leisure breakfast we started making our birthday rounds. We decided to stop by and see Dr B, he is the doc that delivered Trinity (he was also there for Tristan), he is the Doctor that kept his cool in the delivery room allowing us time to get to know our daughter without the Down Syndrome hanging over our heads, he is the Doctor that after we were told, came to sit by my side, hug me, reassure me and tell me AMAZING stories about his own family and how Down Syndrome affects them. I have a HUGE respect for this man and appreciate his "bedside" manner.
After Dr. B's office we headed over to Dr C's office for our 1 year check up. Dr C is our pediatrician and we LOVE him too!
Trinity especially loves the paper on the tables in the office. She loves to roll around in it and just make a major mess. The good thing about the staff here, they just egg her on to roll all she wants!
She is however, NOT a fan of the ear check!
Dr C is such a sweet and kind man. His main care is for Trinity, but he makes sure to check on me each time I go in and always has a hug when we leave!
So pretty! We are working on sitting up, but right now she can not hold herself up without a little support on her back...we will get there!
Mommy and her Princess....
Trinity had her checkup, so now Papi needs his!
Open up Papi and say ahhhhhhhhhh.....
Yes, everything looks good!
After all our Doc visits we all went out to lunch and then home for a nap! This is going to be a very busy weekend for us so we all need our beauty sleep.
What a year this has been for us. A roller coaster of rides and as much as I dislike roller coasters it has been one I could now not imagine being on. If you had asked me a year ago today how I was feeling, I would not have been able to predict the immense pleasure and happiness I have with my family. I would not have been able to tell you how PROUD of us all I am.
God is AWESOME and life is good.
Today has been a HAPPY BIRTHDAY kind of day...
The Mommy
