Volunteered with the Special Olympics today!
I helped with the Bowling competitions and THANKFULLY it was not a pre-req that I be good at it or even know much about the sport, because those of you that have seen me bowl....well let's just say I can keep it out of the gutter for the most part. I only had to be there to encourge the athletes that were amazing.
I haven't supported this orgnaization in a long time, since high school actaully when my buddy Andy did an AMAZING job in his events! I had forgotten how rewarding it would be. I got the idea after having Trinity that maybe I should get involved again with them...maybe one day she will be an athlete, maybe one day she wont, BUT Mommy will already have her foot in the door and understand how it works! I don't want to push my daughter towards anything in particular, but rather prefer to encourage her towards EVERYTHING!

My Guys!
With just a little encouraging, a few hugs and high fives this little guy became my shadow. He stayed by me the whole time and told me jokes and just thought I walked on the moon. Little did he know that he was helping to repair me and help me through my insecurities.
For all the cute pictures I post and funny stories I tell TODAY I made it through the day with out crying...it was an amazing day.
Today was a right direction kind of day...
