The D's march across the south....

This post is dedicated to our family march across the south!

1st stop - Louisiana
Here we are at Nana and Papaw's where we were able to get some really good porch rocking and sitting  time!

Then over to Aunt Tracy and Uncle Marcus's house for some yummy turkey!  Tracy was sitting with Tristan and was able to get him to eat everything on his plate by bribing him with pieces of her homemade YUMMY yeast rolls!

After leaving Louisiana we continued heading east. We had to take a break along the route to sleep over in a hotel in Alabama. Here Tristan is trying to get us loaded up and back on the road.....

Welcome to Georgia!
Tristan tried his first boiled peanut and seemed to like it.  He kept asking me to open them so I took that as a good sign.

We arrived at the In-laws, where we spent the 1st half of our vacation.
Trinity is with her Tia Mima.

The news paper says something about deals, but Trinity says "Deals!  I can show them a big deal...ME!"

Showing our Churra how much we love our food!

"Yes dahling!  I know I am cool!"

We had a little time to hit one of our FAVE eating spots while there, a Malaysian place.  This dish is my favorite, the Penang Kari Mee.

The Boys...Fabritzzio, Tristan and Gianpaul

They had a nice party for us so that some of our friends and family could come and see us and meet Trinity.
This is Solange, we have been friends for quite some time and I miss seeing her all the time.

Family...Ari and her dad Jose (cousin)

Best buddies!  Luis and Washington met maybe a year before we left, but they bonded instantly.

This is Mary, Luis's wife, she is a WONDERFUL lady and so sweet.  I loved her the minute I met her!  I wish we could be closer to them as they are really great people.

We decided to do Christmas early since we would not be seeing each other this year.  So after the party we settled in to rip into gifts!

Tristan got a Cars guitar.  He loves musical instruments, not to mention Cars..:)

Churro passing out the gifts to the kids..

The boys loved the nerf guns we got them...THANKFULLY we were leaving int he morning..heheheh

Churra knitted both Tristan and Trinity little hats and scarves..

After the in-laws we headed to Nana and Papa's house.

There is always something Yummy in Nana's refrig to eat....

See, Tristan will find it!

As she has for generations, Nana let Tristan have pots and spoons to bang.  I am not quite sure why he was hanging his head so low...she told him to feel free to bang away..:)

So after MAYBE 1 hour of being there Tristan decided to do something he isn't even allowed to do at home...He took a dive from the ottoman towards the couch...but did NOT make it!

We put ice on his eye, but it still started swelling...

and then it just swelled shut.  He would walk around with his head tilted so far up trying to see out of both eyes that he kept running into things!

The next day Aunt Connie and Uncle Paul came over.  Unfortunately I did not manage to get pictures of this??
